An old harbour coffeehouse by the dhow wharfage that has been pouring gahwa and karak for the boat crews since long before Deira was fashionable again. Dates arrive unasked, the chai haleeb is sweet enough to stand a spoon in, and nothing on the menu clears ten dirhams. It shuts through the afternoon heat and comes back to life after asr.
